அனைவருக்கும் என் இனிய தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு வாழ்த்துக்கள்!
ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் தமிழ் ஆண்டென்று எதோ புரியாத பெயரை வைக்கிறார்கள். "தமிழ்" ஆண்டுகள் அறுபது என கேள்விப் பட்டுள்ளேன். கூகளிய போது முழுப் பட்டியலும் கிடைத்தது.
"தமிழ்" ஆண்டுகள்
அதில் ஒரு பெயர் கூட தமிழ்ப் பெயர் போல எனக்கு தோன்றவில்லை. ஒவ்வோர் ஆண்டும் நாம் கொண்டாடுவது தமிழ் ஆண்டுதானா? விவரம் தெரிந்தவர்கள் விளக்கவும்!!

Your doubts were 100% correct. None of the names are in Tamil. The actual Tamil New Year is Pongal thirunaal.
This is the story about the current tamil new year.
Naradhar went to krishnan and asked for a girl. He told him that "O lord krishna - you are having 60000 wifes - can I have one". So krishna said - go and knock the house - If I am not in the house - you can take the girl.
So naradhar went to each and every house. But krishna was inside every house!!!. So naradhar was totally disappointed and prayed to krishna. krishna wanted to help naradhar and became a girl himself. He and naradhar lived happily for 60 years and had 60 children. Their names are the current tamil new year names.
It is a total ridiculous story - any guy with a sense will not agree to these stories and will not celebrate April 14 as tamil new year.
Let us all join together and celebrate the real TAMIL NEW YEAR on PONGAL THIRUNAAL
